With the current heat temperatures here at my part of the woods hovering daily at 38-39 degrees when having to do the commute home, which is 40km in baking heat, I have been doing some reconsidering... this week I decided to ditch the 990 for the cage as the heat just makes riding unpleasant, and the added heat from a 990 Vtwin just adds fuel to an already hot fire....
I have been commuting year round for last few years on the bike, find that winter is the BEST time for riding here in NWest, period! With right gear the winter air is crisp, the bike feels alive and the lungs fresh... the stifling summer (not even yet) heat seems to be watering down my appetite! The mornings are fine, but leaving at 4pm in 38 degrees is no fun, especially in town when the term airflow is a joke...
What are the other commuters doing, or is it just me getting hot and bothered...? ??? ;D
