Shot left , hard ride or take a break?

On my 1190 I can do about 450 ks on a tank of fuel , and most of the time on a trip we ride , stop for fill up and go again. More often than not its on the ride home and we will suffer from numb but , but we push on home . Now as I mentioned in another post I get this itch to go for a ride , but this got me thinking , why not break the trip up into sections , no rush so to say and stop maybe every 2 hours , We dont smoke , but to have a cold drink , stretch the legs , rest the ass , Maybe even get off the main road and take a detour ?
I am sure most have seen the Renault add , where the guys go a a road trip and the one guy says this guys post the most amazing stuff , I wonder where that lost railway station is , I wonder where that road is that they are traveling on! Makes me want to ride . But also see whats off the main tracks .
This a good idea or what ?
