Plastic welding on fuel tank
« on: October 28, 2019, 06:12:50 pm »
Hi people.
I had a tumble with my 690, cracking my Rally Raid right hand tank on it,s seam.
Can someone please help me with a contact that can plastic weld it ?
Thanks.
Ek raak aan die slaap op die saal as ek teerpad ry.

You will get many responses, but ultimately its not successful
. due to the type of plastic used on tanks.

And that the fuel permeates the plastic, that is why sticker kits are perforated or they lift, so welding doesn't work as there are too many hydrocarbons in the plastic matrix.  :sip: if it helps steel does the same with hydrogen... :peepwall:
