Roads condition -Tanzania from Sumbawanga North to Mwanza

Im battling to find what the road conditions are like north of Sumbawanga in Tanzania. I heard there was a drive the last few years to asphalt a lot of the roads in that region but google maps images are all very old and same for google earth from 2010 ..

Any body know what its like in the region. Asphalt now or still a lot of dirt roads.

Ideally when going north ill take the B8 rom Sumbawanga north through the Kativi park to Mpanda.
Then options
1 turn right from Mpanda taking  B6 and going to Mwanza via Tabora nd Shimyaga
2 keep going north on the B8 basically till the southern shores of Lake Victoria and then right to Mwanaza

Any info would be help full..
