Nice little easy-to-remember descriptor for the FOUR new models...

(Just like we use K50 and K51 as 'shorthand' for the BMW 1200 LC and BMW 1200 LCA, so Honda has an easy descriptor for the four NEW models!)

A2 CRF11100L Africa Twin 'manual box'
A4 CRF11100L Africa Twin Adventure SPORT 'manual box'

D2 CRF11100L Africa Twin DCT
D4 CRF11100L Africa Twin Adventure SPORT DCT

Cheers, Chris

If all manufacturers used these short codes, then the 1200 GSA will probably be Double D? :patch:

HeHe, yes, that is what I think the 'Mae West' would be, a double 'D'!  ;D

The venue and routes are just about perfect for the launch.

I am really looking forward to it.

Due to demand Honda Tygerberg added some test rides on Friday as well should any of you still wish to go.

Mojaki and I attended the Press Launch up here in Gauteng, this week. We rode the nuts off those scooters! What a bike!! Mo prefers the big ATAS, but I like the smaller tank black or red one. Once you figure out what to do with the ABS, Wheelie Control, and Offroad modes...its a monster 1100 dirt bike! And its pretty to look at, too...

Enjoy your test ride. Its going to be special.
Addicted to riding big bikes in tricky places.
Rode most of Southern Africa.
Currently riding a slightly pimped black Africa Twin Manual, named Fezile

:blob9: Can't wait to have a go on Sunday. Power and torque are much the same as my 990 but the Honda is 27kg heavier, although that weight is lower down and the torque comes in at lower revs...should be interesting to compare.

The normal one should be about the same weight as the 990. The ATAS is heavier though
