Must say I enjoy the races 2 places videos - amazing how quickly they get them out - th tracking must be the best I have ever seen compared to Dakar - was always an issue to find or to get updates - looks like joey is having some fun.

Matt & Michael made a huge navigational blunder (along with some others) and lost a lot of time but they, along with Joey and Greg, are finished the special and just about at Bivvy. Well done guys!

From Greg Raaff,
Had a timely rest day today after a few long days in the saddle.
The body is surprisingly fine after 14 months of virtually no exercise. Clearly my physio Paula did a fantastic job!
We managed to get all of our kit laundered and polished ready for the next week’s action.
Early start tomorrow morning in the dark with a long liaison and a border crossing into Mauritania. Won’t be sad to see the back of “More Rocco” - sick and tired of rocks!
The dunes may be a bigger challenge though. Will keep you posted. Thanks for the support 👍🛵😎

What actually happened in yesterday's stage???
Lyndon Poskitt had gone like the clappers from the start an was in front until just before the end of the stage when he suddenly slowed (according the amazing real-time tracking they have for the race), and then stopped with a bunch of other front runners about 100m from the end of the stage. He was then given 20th for the stage, whereas Matt Sutherland, who started way after Lyndon was given 7th position for the stage!

Looks like a tough navigation stage, many all over the place
I wonder where that gravel road goes? And that, has usually made all the difference. (Apologies to Mr Frost)

Just watched TRP Ep9 and the quality of the content it just amazing. By far the best Motorcycle Rally coverage I've ever seen. Joey and Greg are really being top ambassadors for us South Africans as well  :thumleft:

Joey, missed his calling. He's got comedy and acting skills!

Totally agree, Joey is killing the comedy in the videos.

Watched some of Lyndons updates last night  and Joey really did not look happy and was in pain from falling then later all looked ok again when he got back in it- he is such a to ambassador, Greg also got some airtime and relaxed a bit. Lyndon sort of like the energiser bunny- good guy

Update from Yamaha Alessandro Botturi fb leading the AE
Yesterday another hard stage, lots of tough navigation, lots of dust, a thanks to #Aries @ariete_official for super visors, it's not easy in these conditions is visibility is very important.
I keep the first position but it's still long, my Yamaha Motor and I are putting it all.
