Found these 3 old enduro posters, :thumleft:. will go to mancave, will look cool next to the bikes, i have all 3 of the bikes, looking for electrics for the KDX, sent it to a shop for something, and they lost the stuff, looking for harness and cdi,

I still remember the first time I saw an add for it back in the day, in DirtBike, DirtRider?

I had a pre-KIPS KDX like on the photo, and they are amongst the toughest bikes ever built.

BF Motorcycles in Knysna busy breaking up a KDX for spares - for the wiring you need.

that brochure for The PE175
brought happy but painful memories
Happy cos I rode one loved it to bits
Painful because I came horrible short on it
My Buddy stopped to negotiate a tricky bit  old Winterburg rout ( PE) I laid down the PE so as not to tailgate him and seriously buggered up my leg?
Tried to stand up? fell over much to the merriment of all? it's only when I pulled my full face off and chundered that they thought something might be wrong
They put the PE back together I rode the rest of the way standing up with my leg resting on the Seat
I knew I'd have to go to casualty, so we had to get my Brand new AXE off road boots off  ( I nearly passed out )
Ended up with  strapping from my foot to my thigh  as I had done some damage torn things ????
It was still a fun bike to ride
DS

Love is? Tarmac, throttle wide open! and the pipes screeming like banshees
understanding "Madness does not always howl! Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "Hey,  theres room in your head for one more?"
Honda 175XL rode, broke, fixed, then sold ;CB900 Bol'd'Or sold; BMW r100T & CB1100XX Super Blackbird

Used to race IT175's, and loved them. The Kawa brought out their 200, and I was convinced Yamaha would have to follow. Went and spoke to Lew Bohmer at RBS, where I had bought all my Yamahas from. Lew said there are no plans for an IT200. I said they HAVE to do it, and put R100 deposit down on a non existent bike. A few months later he phoned me and said I was right, and I would get the second one they got (the first one was going to Port Beattie because he was sponsored by them). Couple more months and Lew said they're coming, and he had a poster/brochure to give me. Went down and picked up the brochure, and drooled. Next phone call is we'll have your bike in a few weeks. But....I got a call up, left for the border a week before my bike arrived.
So while everyone else had pictures from Scope on their staalkas....I had my IT200 brochure stuck up there. It was a long 3 months checking that out with just miles and miles of bush in every direction I looked. And by the time I got back everyone and their aunties already had their new IT's....
Previous bikes...where to start
Current bikes: 200 XCW, 250 Freeride, 950 Adv S, PE 175, 1 1/2 IT 175's
