Riding Wilderness
« on: November 23, 2019, 11:28:54 am »
Not so much a ride report.  Usually fly down to George, rent a car and spend a week or two paragliding.
This time went with my bike and ride "non flying" days.  Bloody sick area.  Just get on bike and stick it into any dirt road you see (or tar for the matter)

Cool video.  :thumleft: :thumleft: Thanks for sharing your ride.

BTW..... it seems the driver of CAW24517 needs to go for driving lessons & not take the corner so wide.  :eek7: :eek7:

I am heading up to Wilderness next weekend with my Paragliding solo and tandem gear, three paramotors, solo and tandem, my electric unicycle, mountain bike, and lots of other toys. I wish I could take my adventure bike along too.
I recognised all the roads in the video except the dense bush track. Was that behind Sedgeview /Cloud Nine somewhere?

I would love to ride the Old Voortrekker Pass that connects the R62 to the 7 Passes Rd just above Wilderness, but I believe that the Forestry guys will not allow any bikes to cross the Southern end part. So sad. I can understand why they donít want the kids on scramblers tearing up their forestry roads, but mature men on adventure bikes?

Yep, right up that hill somewhere.  I kinda lost track since rode all over the hill (stayed in the huts)

Fooooo daar waar daai bokkie voor jou verby. Ek is so 8 maande gelede in koedoe vas, femur gebreek. Was nog nie weer op bike nie... Weet nie waar ek weer die selfvertroue sal kry om vinnig te ry waar mens nie kan sien nie. Lekker RR :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft:
If i had to explain you would not understand anyway......
