Just understand, Ri, that if you ride that 790, your first question will be whether they will trade in 4xDr650 on the deal. As my mate Rex said after he’d ridden the 790, “I felt like i’d Been born in the saddle”.

And they can be lowered...

Tippy toes is not good if you intend to Take that collosus bike off road.

Since you already made up your mind to go KeepThrowingMoney, consider the 1050/90 as well, probably the same height, but a little lighter?

I saw it on FB this morning. :imaposer:

No ways I'll every buy myself something this big, heavy and tall. Great in traffic but once I slowed down it became a wallowing hippo. I wouldn't do that to myself :imaposer:

Keith, a friend has the KTM 790 R with lowered seat - it's so wide, I can barely get a leg over, and it's still too high. So if I did test ride anything, it would be the standard 790 with lowered everything. I see it can be updated with Rally software, but I may be mistaken.

It won't be in the foreseeable future anyway, no funds. From next year I'll be watching the "For sale" threads and waiting for 2nd hand 790s

As to my DR650s, I have buyers for most of them, but there will always be a DR650 in my garage.
