Need KTM 640 Low Beam light assembly
« on: November 05, 2008, 06:54:11 am »
Hi all. Somehow the plastic reflector thingy inside the low beam light assembly broke off. The lens is still fine.
Is there perhaps a WD out there who had to replace his light because of a broken lens? I will then attempt to transplant my lens onto your shell.

I will call Pro action this morning for a price on a new one. I'm sure its going to be expensive.

Attie, I priced one at The  Roost in Boksburg and it was 1.9k, that was end June. Mine is cracked badly.

If Proaction do a special order for you, don't be so sure that they are going to call you when and if it arrives.

I'm still waiting for a radiator cap from The Roost....since end June!

ps at that time they quoted me 2.1k for the high beam........insane.

There must be someone out there who's had a stone through the head-light. I've called all the bike scrap-yards in a 200 km radius from Pretoria, and no one has any scraped 640's. How is this possible? Where do 640 Adventures go when they die?

Attie, I was thinking the exact same thing. They're rare, that's why. Since I bought my old one at the end of June, the amount that I have seen on the roads....shoo, I could count on one hand, seriously.

Have you called that 'Bike Hospital' in JHB? They always have an advert in the BikeSA.

There's another option....is your bike insured...?
