find out when the cam chain and guides were done they should have been done at 80 000 km and when last the oil pump and water pump were done , these are necessary maintenance issues and can be very costly if they fail. personal , oil pump should have been done at about 70 000 km and water pump the same , I would do both of them if they have not been done , If you do it your self it about a R2000 take it to a specialist its lots more , water pump and oil pump kit from KTM about R 700 each and gasket is about R350 its a easy repair ,  both can be done by removing the inner clutch cover with the bike on the side stand.
but they are great bikes, that need some small TLC.
Bikes :  KTM 1190 Adventure R ,  KTM 690 Enduro R (scared the shit out of me so sold it ), BigBoy Revival 150 for the dorp.

Sun, Wind and Sail and for those colder days, My Bike.

also from history on my bike and others after 35 000 km you very seldom have to reset the valves.so that,s just an over priced maintenance issue, you will know when the valves go out of norm the bike will not like to start when cold.
