Ja Tom, maybe you can help out a buddy if the item cannot be obtained in South Africa at all, but generally it would be better for you not to be a free courier.  :thumleft: You have done enough for other folks to have proven your good heart...  ;D

So I was looking for a Spyderco Native Chief cpm s90v sprint run and it seems there are none around, anywhere, I turned my attention to finding the normal Native Chief cpm S30V, this too proved difficult but I managed to find  1 in the country and ordered it. Spyderco Delica 4 and Bestech Knives Toucan for reference of size.

Its big and sharp as hell out of the box. It is incredibly light for its size.

Mox my Spyderco Delica 4 was my first ever purchase that I could have shaved with out of the box.
I bought the leather stop and made it even better, and now after every use in the night at home I'll give it some honing on the leather strop. Amazing, my first but not las Spyderco.
However I must add that the one managers usd 300 benshmade is also as sharp out the box and way more beutiful but I can't afford to pay that money on a tool I uses daily.
I am not a collector, I uses each and every knive except bothe my Iraq special edition M16 CRKT.'s

Tom I too use every single knife I own, occasionally I purchase one and think to myself it is just too beautiful to use but then I remind myself what it was created for and that is to be used. I don't see the point of having money sit in a box gathering dust . I have two delica 4  the one pictured above and then one with the Emmerson opener blade, very handy.

Quick question.

I see these Sheepdog XLs are made of a different steel. Mine at home is 154CM. I like 154CM. I got it on some other knives.

https://www.bladehq.com/item--Kizer-Vanguard-Sheepdog-XL-C01C--118482

The new steel is CTS-BD1N. Is this better than 154CM or whats the story?

From what Iíve read theyíre very similar with CTS-BD1N being slightly better in some aspects.

Its got a really thin blade for cutting apples etc. Thats what i will use it for anyway. Needs to be under 3 inches and i always wanted a Damascus blade. So i got it all in one.

I just hope that detent ball is not too pap. Because then i will sell it again.

Just got my Stainless Opinel No8. To me this is the perfect pocket knife if only it had a pocket clip  :imaposer:
The blade is so beautiful and simple. Easy to sharpen. A real joy. The best of all is i paid about 20 USD for it. Amazing.

I got a number 12 coming today also that i will use for cooking on the road. It will stay in the USA.
