He wants a half serrated blade. I am not sure where to go with that.
Honey Badger does not do half serrated. They have the claw in smooth or full serrated.

@Kaboef Partially serrated knife

A couple of Benchmade's under R2000

https://bntonline.co.za/shop/?min_price=325&max_price=2015&s=griptilian&post_type=product&category=0

Axis lock is good and ease of one handed opening and closing

The Pardue is also great https://bntonline.co.za/product/benchmade-knifes-pardue-drop-point-axs-stud-serrated-folding-knife/
154CM steel which has been around for ages. This also has the Axis Lock and is not a bad size around 20CM total length

The latest version of the Recon 1 only comes with the much better and stronger Tri-Ad Lock which is a back lock knife. Which is not your cup of tea.
https://www.coldsteel.com/recon-1-spear-point-plain-edge-s35vn/

I must say though with the American Lawman with the Tri-Ad lock I can open and close it one handed. The Tri-Ad system makes for a rock solid knife that will not easily fail.

 :lol8: that Recon 1 is fairly new in my arsenal. The previous owner really never used it. I do carry and use it when it comes into rotation and I am beginning to appreciate it despite its size. The Griptilian (mine modified), Rat1 and 2, Sebenza, a couple of Spyderco's and the new American Lawman are always present.

Some of my other favorites, CRKT M16(one of the older ones) CRKT Tac Tighe , and of course there is always my artisan type knives.

I still need more knives  :patch:
