There were many variations I think and many were customised. Whatever it is I am intrigued.

Myself, received this answer from a knife forum. 

"Southern & Richardson WW2 British Commando dagger." 

So the search continue.   :biggrin:
The closest resemblance I could find on that dagger is TWS

Thanks dookie, seen that one also. similar but the one thing that I cant find is a match to the sheath.   

I think I will have more clues once the knife is by me.   :thumleft:

My Grandpa had something very very similar to that that he brought home from WW11.
He used it as a letter opener for years.

Std issue, AFAIK.
He was an AA gunner.

I suppose if some guys can use a R1 bayonet to clean their nails, with the R1 attached to the bayonet, you can use this knife as a letter opener.   :eek7:   :lol8:

On a different note I found this little guy in my office draw this morning.
For at least 10 years I have been wondering what this tool is on a little Victorinox .
