Knife rotation has brought me back to the Benchmade 761 Ti Monolock - Every time I start carrying this knife it reminds me that it is probably my favorite knife. It was not a cheap knife and it did cross my mind to keep it locked up but that is not the point of a knife. It has taken abuse and handles it exceptionally well. Keeps an edge really well and not too much work to sharpen.

It got me thinking to buy another to keep until my boy is old enough for knives (there are already a few waiting for him). Do you think I can find one? NO! It seems it has been discontinued.

If anyone stumbles upon one please let me know.

Damn nice, reminds me a bit of the Spyderco Nirvana.

I'm in the same situation with my Chris Reeve Inkosi, no matter how many knives I buy, that's the one that always ends up in my pocket, so I've simply accepted it now.

That is a real nice blade.
When I leave for the States I just go with an Opinel and then I source something nice that side and bring it back again.
One can only hope your luggage makes it through without any issues. Everytime a big relieve when one get you luggage un tampered with.

@Tom van Brits in my experience you only lose things on the way out. Not on the way back to SA. I lost a R4k leatherman once on the way to Thailand. I was seriously pissed. They stole it out of my luggage.

One of my buddies buys 2 or 3 Benchmade knives everytime and he brings them back to SA in his big luggage without problems.

Correct, yet I am cautious and will not bring too many valuable items at a time.
