Here are two little knives I made recently. The first one is forged out of 5160 (spring steel), and the second one is also hand forged, but this time out of O1 tool steel. I've purposely left forge marks on the ricassos so that one can see they were made the old fashioned way; with a forge, hammer and anvil.

I've now made 4 of this little EDC knives for myself, and each time I've sold them off my hip with a week or so.  :thumleft:

Here's a pic of one of the blades after acid etching. I love the magic of Damascus/pattern welding, when after a dip in Ferric Chloride, the boring monotone of the steel reveals its pattern.
Damn this is nice.

Looks like contours

Would love a hunting knife with a similair “contour” pattern on.

Will that be possible?

Biltong Knife, guy that order it cancelled and placed an order for the latest cleaver.

So it is up for sale, Normally R 850, WD special R 500, buyer to arrange and pay courier cost.

3mm, L4528 Stainless Steel, Blue Formica liner, African Padauk handle Scales.

PS: The fish-scale effect on the blade is a reflection from the light box and not actually on the blade
