Ducati Hypermotard 939 what you think
« on: February 07, 2020, 09:05:14 am »
Howzit.

What your thoughts with regards to a 2017 Ducati 939 Hypermotard with 22000km at a good price R88 000. Would you buy it and enjoy. or stay the hell away from it. Their service intervals are 20 000km, but will be expensive as the timing belts need to be changed. I recon that i could take my time and do the servicing and belt changes myself.

I want to use it for commuting 80km round trip in the traffic. The ABS, Traction control and riding modes appeal to me for the safety aspect.

Would i be able to sell it again in a few years.

Really tempting.

What else is a fun bike for commuting? I though maybe a KTM 690 or Husky 701 but can't put topbox on because fuel cap is in the way.

Or play it safe and get BMW 800 or 1200

regards Rob

Hell I would do it.
Super fun, nimble etc but not a single so can happily do lots of highway when necessary.

Just not sure about a topbox on a hypermotard😳. Maybe get on of those hard shell back packs - Ogio, alpinestars, dainese etc. Will sommer act like a back protector.
