Jughead. Get well soon!
« on: February 13, 2020, 04:27:03 pm »
Just heard from someone who went to pick up his bike, that Jughead was moving bikes around his workshop when his bicep tendon snapped and the muscle suddenly contracted like a tennis ball. Sounds bloody painful!  :o

Needed surgery to re-attach and the recovery process is going to be lengthy, a matter of months. I'm heading his way tomorrow to help pick up someone else's bike so I'll get the full story.

Meanwhile, hope your recovery is quick and painless as possible, Guy.  :deal:

Ouch, strongs Jughead. I went through this in 2017, snapped my left bicep tendon clean in half trying to stop my WR250F rolling down the gorge I had just battled to get up. It also came off the bone in my forearm. It was so bad they opted to use donar tendon to replace a piece of it eventually.

If I have any advise on the recovery, it's that your biggest friend now needs to be someone called patience.

:o Ouch, yes that is actually a common problem under us toppies and also weight lifter in the snatch jerk movements.
To load the muscle gradually is the way to go, but that sudden heavy load is the problem.

Exact same thing happened to me once while I was busy jerking-off. Very painful.

Hope you heal well  :thumleft:

My son went through bicep tendon relocation a while ago, and the recovery process is indeed a long one. Strongs, Jughead!
