Value of a Buell?
« on: February 14, 2020, 02:23:30 pm »
A mate of mine looking at a 2005 Buell Ulysses 1200 with 60k on the clock and apparently in a reasonable condition. Who knows these bikes and what would its value be??

BEER..."I drink it when I`m happy or when I`m sad. I drink it when I`m alone. When I have company I consider it obligatory. Trifle with it if I`m not hungry and drink it when I am. Otherwise, I never touch it - unless I`m thirsty"

Why?? ?? ??

Its worse than an XR i.t.o wheelie with its short wheel base, the belt is horrendously expensive, its the worst prostate hammer you can get.......

They worth nothing, not produced anymore, cant get spares, shake your kidneys to pieces.
But you cant have mine..
They are capable, but spares, especially in SA are becoming an issue. If its got everything, full cases etc
you could probably pick it up for around R40k - R50k. Depends how much the seller is wiling to part with it for.
I personally love the bikes, and would love a Firebolt. The Ulyssus is a great comfortable tourer, but the belt and underslung pipe
make it a bit risky offroad. The motor's are good, very few general issues. Fuel pumps do fail and the charging system, especially the
stators can give issues. Not everyone's cuppa tea.
