Vir JOU "dame", (wat ek wonder of jy aarvoeding ontvang want jou bek is pretty walglik vir iemand van jou ouderdom of is jy eintlik nog in jou veertigs maar lyk net of jy alreeds aan die verkeerde kant van 70 trek?) wil ek sê:
* Jy het hoegenaamd geen rede gehad om jou "cool" te verloor nie;
* Jy het 4 uiters beskaafde bikers as "f....n selfsugtig" begin beledig omdat jy te kortsigtig was om te besef dat ons óók geregtig is op parkering!! As jy die vorige nag se slaap uit jou oë gewas gehad het teen 07:48, sou jy gesien het dat daar 7 ander vakante parkerings tot jou beskikking was!
* Jy swaai met veels té veel gemak
jou middel vingertjie rond en ek WIL jou verseker dat jou barbaarsheid gaan verseker dat jy guarenteed en gruwelik jou moses gaan teëkom in die nabye toekoms!!
Indien dit sou wees dat ons NIE beskaafde Harley bikers is wat met geweldig baie trots die patch op ons rug dra (reeds omdat ons ñ klub verteenwoordig en ondersteun waar ons ñ radikale verskil maak in die lewens van geweldig baie behoeftige en minder bevoorregtes - met die fokus op senior burgers, gestremde- en hawelose volwassenes en kinders asook verwaarloosde en mishandelde diere wat deur ñ siek samelewing verwerp is!), beskaafde, goed opgevoede, beleefde gerespekteerde BESIGHEIDSEIENAARS (waarvan een nogal ñ prokureur óók is!!), kan en wíl ek jou waarborg dat jy waarskynlik die moontlikheid in die gesig gestaar het om ñ helmet (of nóg erger!), deur jou ruit te kon hê!!
* Jou gedrag word as ROAD RAGE bestempel en indien jou onaanvaarbare, barbaarse optrede jouself nog nie tot insig geruk het nie, WÍL ek vir jou sê dat jy ñ gewetenlose, onopgevoede, disrespected, sot vir die samelewing is!!

Cannot understand how people claim to be "blinded" by bike lights... they should quit staring behind them and rather look where the hell they going...

I ride orange lens cover, brights on always and believe me they know I am there, whether they like it or not is the least of my concern....

The debate on bright, or not bright is as old as lights on bikes and will continue as long as there are two bikers alive on earth. In the end, if you read a bit about inattentional blindness, you will realise that the brightness of the light is nowhere near as important as those who believe in riding on bright seem to think it is. What is very important is for you to be different to the surrounding patterns and this is where the two extra spotlights, yellow / amber headlight, etc. excel.

Personally, I prefer dim purely because that leaves me with the flasher option.

Nobody cares about you flashing them. They just keep doing what they are doing...

I have orange lights on with bright and when I come down a straight the approaching car overtakes another into my lane expecting me to move and make space because I am smaller. I flash...not even a wave to "apologise".

Nowadays I rather use my middle finger instead of flashing them. Much more satisfaction

We all have these intriguing experiences while riding through traffic. Sometimes quite a few on one day. And some that just stand out because of their strange / funny / so otherwise peculiarity.

This morning riding through heavy, blocked-up traffic, two lanes. Most vehicles, again, made effort to give me space. And I thanked them. Then this one vehicle in the left lane with both its wheels just about touching the white line came up ahead. There was plenty of space to its left. A female driver. I could see her face in her side mirror. She was eyeing me. From where she was three cars ahead I saw her watching me solidly all the way till I got to her car, not making any move. Fortunately the driver to my right made a space. I passed her. I left the sanctity of her mirror intact, but I gave her the finger. And I enjoyed it.
