My KTM 1190 R's rev counter is gone mad. When the bike stands in the sun the rev counter does not reset back down to 0. It stops somewhere in the middle. It still works, but I looks like the bike idles at 8k RPM.
If you turn the bike off and on, it sometimes resets to normal again. But not always
KTM checked it and said it's the cluster, they cannot open it so it needs replacing.
Where can I find a 2nd hand one from a crashed bike etc.?
How do I install it, I know it just plus in, but does KTM have to do something or can I just plug it in?
From what I understand the cluster is only for display and the actual CPU's aren't inside it.
