Thanks for all the tips regarding the mudguard. I managed to find a brand new OEM one for very little money so have ordered that. I will still try and refresh the old one too and keep as spare. Booked in for MOT tomorrow, so will be out riding immediately after regardless of what weather the Island throws my way.
