Greeting other bikers is never about whether they will respond, but more about what a jorl you having because you are on a bike...

I love greeting pedestrians on backcountry dirt roads... most laaitjies go ballistic in response, often miming throttle actions, and even wheelies... Warms my heart.

I drive a FJ and we all greet...even the lady FJ drivers greet back 

I greet other bikers too. I am sometimes so focused on what the traffic is doing ahead of me that I see the nod of an oncoming biker too late. Hy dink dan seker ek is 'n poephol...

I greet all bikers with a nod, and when I commute on the Vespa from Simons Town to Rondebosh everyday even the GS riders pull over to let me pass  Friendly lot in the Southern Suburbs!!
