DRZ was a demo from Suzuki SA, taken to the bash with their full knowledge and support. Afrikaans speaking Capies can look out for the road test report in MotorBurger in about 2 week's time. Thanks Suzuki!

Would that be a pictorial which includes the monkey butt towards a flag pic?
;D ;D

Bospadda, I think you are making a mountain out of a molehill.

Yes, we partied.
No, we did not behave recklessly.
No-one was forced into anything.
The mood was relaxed and wonderful, and everyone had a great time.

Ok ok, so you had a "responsible" party and bash.  Praiseworthy  :thumleft:.  However, I still must voice my opinion to see a frontal photograpgh of grown man pissing into a river is not something I would classify as "having a great time".   :-[

Well, now that you know how we behave, you can decide whether you would like to hang around or not....... ::)

Perhaps you can more accurately qualify that to "Now that you know how we behave at a bash, you can decide whether you want to join a bash or not"

Or are you perhaps suggesting that someone that does not drink and who does not like parties (for whatever reason) is in some way not qualified to be a wilddog and, therefore, not welcome on the forum?

So many positive things at the Bash, but the one pic is causing a debate.

Part of friendship is understanding and accepting them the way they are.  My friend was walking with the wobbliest legs I have ever seen and he peed in the river.  But then he is the guy who worked through the night to build me luggage racks for my bike.

Should he be shot now?  I am not the pee police.

Last week they had DWAF on 50|50, and they said one should not drink river water.

NOW WE KNOW WHY!

The person in question is the same one who went over to welcome every arrival at the bash. I myself got a great big bear hug from him.
He is also the same person who spends most of his time on the Technical Sections of this forum to dispense mechanical advice.

He doesn't need me to defend him. I am proud to be associated with him. River pisser or not ;)

They could hang me for my behaviour at the bash, but the camera got him....

Point is I know the river pisser, but not the complainer (yet)..... think point AndreE is trying to make is if pictures offends one, fortunately you have the option to be associated with em or not....

Also don't know why this pic is making such a fuss in the context of such a great weekend - drinkers and non-drinkers (Willem) - we all had a jol....

I think we are forgetting something here.  The said river pisser only added his brew when the others in the water had already leaked there load.

No, that's not the point. I don't like the fact that such a pic of me was posted, but it was done as a joke and I can accept it as such (as long as it gets removed some time soon)

To qualify as a WD, you need an interest in adventure/DS riding, that's all. To qualify for attending the bash, you need to be a WD. That's all.

Oh, a thickish skin and an open mind is required to some extent as well. This is the internet after all.
Don't look back, that's not where you're going.

No, let me put it more accurately. There are many members here, and the fact that we all are adventure/dual sport riders does not mean that we all subscribe to the same notion of what is fun or proper and what is not.I would guess that we all are mature well adjusted adults to function in society, but to be highly critical of some lads letting their hair(pants) down in a social setting among friends is a bit short sighted. So, your choice who you want to spend your free time with.

Pics like those tells me I'm among people who don't frown at everything and walk around with stiff upper lips, and my guess is that will draw in many more people than it would alienate. So, you can choose to spend your weekend with a bunch of guys like that, or maybe your idea of fun is tea and cucumber sandwiches at the bridge club.

I know where I would rather be.....

PS first paragraph in answer to Kykdaar, second one for BP.

PPS I changed my forum name because I thought Disselboom might just be a little juvenile, guess I'll be changing it back.

+1 Groenie.

As you gathered, my response was not directed at you. I dare say that anyone that has met you will attest to the fact that you are one of the nicest and coolest people on the forum  ;D  :thumleft:

I have braaied next to you without drinking a drop myself (Ok, plenty of coke) and never was that an issue (for you or me), nor did it diminish the enjoyment of our social interaction.

I just would not like it when someone comes out and say "hey, because you do not drink and party - get lost - you are not welcome as a wilddog".
