Swartland Circular

Quickly with the chores and by 11am I was on the road. I had promised myself an expedition to discover the road between Malmesbury, Moorreesburg and Gouda.

back home by 16:30 having done 300km since 11:00. I estimate that about 85% of the distance was on gravel.
In time for more chores ? did not even get a chance to rinse the bike.

Droff,

You seem to know some really good rides in the Cape Town area. I love this single track type stuff. Hopefully you can show me some of these routes
When in doubt...grab throttle!!!

Nah, I don't actually know the routes - I get lost most of the time  :D

What I do is look around and explore. Like with this ride, I saw a few roads that I would like to go back and explore some more as time was few on Sunday and I had to keep to my side of the bargain with the wifey or my riding could come to an abrupt  :!:

 :D

But if you like we could get lost together sometime   8)

PS I spend a lot of time starring at maps and reading ride reports in the area so i learn routes from others.

Yes, I think we should go and get lost just to try and get unlost again. Do you ever take the wife along? If my missus hears the bike start she comes running in all her kit. Can't keep her off it.
When in doubt...grab throttle!!!

Now that you mention it, indeed. You must have used the big flat rock that my TA sidestand is on. There were some tracks there that I can remember.

Now, where  is your ride report?

Geezlike, you okes down in the Cape have some great roads it seems - and the scenery is just as awesome!  :) <- I hope that's green
The three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40 and a hammer.  If it moves and it shouldn't, use the duct tape.  If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40.  Otherwise use the hammer.

If you Vaalies want to tour the Cape now and March/April is the best time.  In a month's time the Cape Docter will start blowing till Feb - so this is the best touring time, nice flowers too - Make a plan Stan....

Riding to Cederburg and then again to Clanwilliam, I spotted some long narrow gravel roads leading off the N7...but I had a destination in mind, so
didn't have the time to explore....maybe the next time.....it sure looks
nice there.
