Yes we did that as well.
The also try to steel my Yamaha Super Tenere, but could not get it through tie broken gate.

Police say there is a syndicate operating in the region, targeting Semi and Off Road bikes. Destination Mozambique.

I remember how jealous I was of the guys with their XT550's, when I was riding my XT500 to varsity every day - I bought mine new with my army money for R2145 IIRC - my bike took a hammering and I loved it - how things have changed?!

Sadly I doubt that the bike will be recovered  :'(

And I always wonder where these go to?

Stripped down as a "bushbike"? Stripped for spares?

Or out of the country with the GS'?

You shouldn't service where you park your Land Rover. It's bad publicity for Yams

When last were you in Moz Dan?  :o
Not only our bikes go there but also the aircon's of the cellular sites, the batteries, solar panels, basically anything that fits on a bakkie and can be covered with vegetables or firewood or charcoal or coal or...

Yeah, that leaves Elephants, but give them half a chance and they'll walk it across on a leash, with a slice of bread on it's forehead & on the tail: "What do YOU care what I have between my lunch sandwich?"

I live a few houses down from you (you would have heard the noisy Triumph). Sorry to hear that. My scooter has to park outside but I do cable lock the wheel when it's not in use.

I hope it turns up. Cheers Barry

I want to buy a fanny cooler as well to save my S10, but I was wondering if its a good idea to buy one. Wondering if its "hot" and on the bucket list of thieves !

Any comments ?

Definitely, any bike they can get their hands on. The lighter to pick up and carry away, the better.

Jip, I agree. They will definitely steal a scooter as well.

And I guess the fanny cooler will become a delivery bike in the good old SA. No need to transport to Moz.
