My son down in Jhb yesterday 9:45.
« on: March 19, 2020, 11:15:01 am »
Bakkie with diesel bowser skipped a red light.
He managed to stop the bike, but then the wheel/mudguard came along and smacked him.
Ankle dislocated and broken fibula.
They put the ankle back in place and he is getting screws on Saturday.
Bike looks to be a write off.

Shit. Please pass my best wishes to him.
Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to rank amongst those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the grey twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.

I hope you sue that individual/company to hell and back for skipping a robot. :o

Thing is that we are less inclined to pursue these bastards in light of the fact that your son is relatively ok but remember it is not because of that same driver that your son came off lighter than it could have been hence donder hulle op!!!! >:(

Thank God your son is fine.

I'll find the make from him, but it's a softer road touring type boot. Helped nothing, though it's impossible to predict if a full mx boot would've made a difference at all.
