Sorry not a great picture as it was taken from my cell phone but very interesting as all the black dots are actually swallows

Where, when, what conditions, why were the birds there?

It's a wetland, they roost in the reeds - about 50km from mahushe shongwe game reserve close to the Swazi border - was amazing to see :-) we were on a bat outing - they are wanting to mine in the area so doing a survey - assisting Parks board
Even on days when you don't have the time or the energy, you are still the centre of your pet's world!

Some beautiful shots here  :drif: esp that sunset over the oilfields is a gorgeous pic dw 1 . :thumleft:

"Red skies at night , sailors delight" . And it was pretty accurate, the next morning the sea was very calm . Taken this weekend at the beach house at Onrus River.

" When we see a red sky at night, this means that the setting sun is sending its light through a high concentration of dust particles. This usually indicates high pressure and stable air coming in from the west. Basically good weather will follow".
“It’s impossible,” said pride. “It’s risky,” said experience.

“It’s pointless,” said reason. “Give it a try,” whispered the heart.
