Very different terrain that to what we ride here in KZN. You could mark out an awesome short course there to build speed and technique . :thumleft:

Had it rained recently because no one is throwing up much dust, which makes for great close riding/racing.

Great fun.  It might have rained some, but I cannot remember.   :o

The sand was fairly loose.  @Fuzzy Muzzy was showing the way.  He was flying.  Just after the stick speared the KTM - breaking off the clutch hose, we got separated.  I thought I was still chasing Murray and he was chasing me.  We rode off another couple of kilos, before we caught up.   ;D

Oh, it takes one to know one....  :imaposer:

But, seriously - in the distant past I repeatedly asked the WDs why so few took advantage of this incredible playground on our doorstep until I realised I was asking the wrong audience. Oh, well.

I was a Yamaha man before, but now appreciate what these KTM's are built for.  They make it easy.

Also very different to up here in Gauteng. The rocks and riverbeds here are way more of a challenge. I rode the Cape sandy trails for about 25 years before moving to Gauteng. First ride with locals at de Wildt I almost died from exhaustion. I had a cramp from the tip of my toes to the top of my head. I thought I could ride but realised I had a lot to learn. Then spent lots of time riding Lesotho rocks and Swaziland hills. About 4 years ago I moved back to the Cape for 2 years. Found this kind of riding terribly mundane so stuck to the trials bike and adventure bike. Moved back to Gauteng 2 years ago and back into the rocks. The KZN guys are the masters of extreme though. All the enduro events I have done there are extreme. Started extreme adventuring about a year ago in the mountains of KZN and Drakensberg / Lesotho with a bunch of banana boys on 500s. Now that's a jol.

I hear you, but I still rate my YAMAHA IT200 as the bike I regret selling the most.   ;)

Fine , Ill bring the 450 out to play  :ricky: :ricky:

Its about time you turned Orange, or at least something with a newer suspension. Contrary to the "Tag your slowest friend" on FB, you would be even faster.

I sucked hind tit for too long on the TTR.  I need to hone those 300 skills well before Muz may upgrade.   :pot:
