Changing Tyres during Lockdown
« on: April 29, 2020, 03:13:57 pm »
Hi,

Know for a fact one need an essential service certificate to change your tyres during current stage (which I'm not)

Anyone know for sure if this is still the case from Friday?

Cheers,
K

I saw in an article that car dealers are opening to service vehicles in lvl4.

Presume you would be able to do it then

"You’ll be able to get your car fixed

Under the hard lockdown, emergency vehicle repairs were only allowed for essential services workers.
As we move to Level 4, anyone can access those services."

Buy and fit.  BTW told me they can only assist now if I have an essential services certificate.

Was going to call tomorrow to ask what about after Thursday, thought I'd ask here because trying to plan weekend.

I spoke with Aldred at Sharwoods in PE yesterday as I want to get some new tyres fitted on my bike when I collect it tomorrow.  He said he will try his best to assist but he believes that tyre places are essential services and as such will be open.
