Wil jy werk of nie?
« on: May 12, 2020, 11:06:59 pm »
Ek is nie vaak nie, so hier is n lang storie v julle. Party mense darem..............  :pot:   :pot:

So ek bel hom.

So ek moet nou mos my 2 strokes se jetting laat doen.

Ek is nie suinig nie, ek soek my goed REG. Whatever it takes, ek sal betaal.

So ek word gevra wa kom die bikes vandaan?
Wie het die engines gebou?

Toe hoor ek dat al 3 se motors is moertoe. Hy kan my nou waarborg, dis MOERTOE  :imaposer:  :imaposer: Ek se v hom dis 3 new rebuilds, met Invoices supplied, no short cuts taken.

Needless to say, hy sal nie my bikes Jet nie  :thumleft:

And when those same people's business goes bottom up, they cry that there is no work!
I miss the days of mechanics and not technicians!
Passion in stead of invoices!
This virus is going to sort a lot of those businesses out!

I downright refuse to spend at their shops.

Indien ek my kliente so behandel het sou ek nie nou moes kwel hoe ons deure oophou nie, hulle sou lankal toe gewees het. Maar moontlik Manic, het jou reputasie jou vooruitgeloop en die man weet waar die geld is so hy waarsku jou, lig net toe dit kos R8k 'n week. :imaposer:

Not at all , I have had bikes to jet , you are told the bike is mechanically perfect , but when jetting doesnít have the desired effect you start looking around and you find other problems , like valve clearances way out , existing electrical problems , existing carb problems , blown crank seals on two strokes , worn reed valves on two strokes , and something I find a lot on two strokes is power valves installed incorrectly and this affects about 80% of the two strokes I work on . And two strokes can be particularly finicky to get the jetting sorted .
Now when I am asked to do jetting I insist on a service as well to cut down on potential wasted time .

Must be a CPT thing.

As for a 2T a service will help nul with jetting and the case as per above where invoices for complete rebuilds are provided which is what I referred to.

Jetting a bike is one thing and if the make model etc are known it should be a simple task however on the other end of the spectrum a bike without a piston or reedblock will take a bit longer to jet :deal:

Nope , I had a 2 stroke which arrived with invoices for a complete engine rebuild , but difficulty starting , I wasted way too much time on that one before I found a leaking crank seal , once that was sorted the bike was good .
Another bike had a complete engine rebuild but wouldnít start , stator coils were dodgy , had them rewound and the bike was perfect afterwards . BTW , both of those bikes from Jhb .
And how do you jet a 2 stroke properly when the power valves donít work properly ?

Hy sou elke maand konstant werk by my gekry het.

Maar nou ja....

In my case, sort it out then please. More work, more money. Easy as that. If you work on it, and you see that its not only the jetting, but a few other things, sort it out. I will pay. I want them right!!

Im a full of shit oke. I will respray a whole tank to get rid of a chip mark. Thats how I am  :thumleft:
