Sound is essential. Check the Honda at 4:00-ish where it looks like the guy twists the throttle forwards to accelerate. Or is like this in real life too? I haven't ridden a bike for a long time now.

Thought the 5 cylinder sounded like a very tame single, then noticed it was the little starter motor making the noise

Of course, you'll never believe me ............................

But I fitted a racing pipe (stinger) on my AC50 and it did 120 on the clock, with a gear in hand. Granted, it took a while and I won very few races against the the RDs, Gammas and ARs but if they wanted to race on the Willy Nicol from Hyde Park, or Jan Smuts, they had a problem.

So did I, when I needed to stop ...................................

Sounds gives me goosebumps, I don’t care if an electric bike or car can do 0-100 in 1 second. It will never have the same appeal. Wonder if future generations will have the same afinity for the internal combustion engine ?

Absolutely agree, especially those 2strokes accelerating away from the camera at the Isle of Man.
