:lol8: Not by a long shot yet :lol8: Still learning. Need about another  9 000 hours. But my sidecars are not for his purpose. Woody might still have one that is suited for a SR500.

the Flexit (leaning) sidecar had a weight of just +/-85kg, and a maximum (loaded) weight of 175kg, so that could be an option, IF you can find one, for a smaller-displacement bike.

(Since it is a leaning sidecar, it did not 'lift' the chair during r/h/turns ('flying the chair') so it's low weight was not a handicap, since a different principle was involved)

Lots of reading HERE: https://bmwmotorcycletech.info/flexit.htm

Provided you can find a Flexit (read unicorn) you going to pay a stupid price for it.

For an SR500 I would look at the scrambler type cars with a seat. Should be easy enough to make.

The ability to build the chair is not the problem time is the issue that is why I was hoping I could find at least a frame and work for there , and yes price is a big factor

There is an AFFORDABLE Flexit for sale in Cape Town, lady advertised it, I 'saved' the ad (somewhere  :-\ ) and now cannot find her number, she has not re-advertised it - yet, anyway - since I put an 'alert' on a few Gumtree type sites, will let you know IF i come across it - I wanted to buy it, then store it, for a 'one day' project', since they are very rare, and were arguably ahead of their time (Flexit's), as well as futuristic!

Will let you know if/when I come across it again - it had small damaged to the sliding cockpit, but was otherwise in a sound condition, apparently.

Cheers
Chris

Wish i could find mine back, some mods and I could fit it to an adventure bike! Was mounted to the bike with 5 adjustable rods!

Also the one of my dad a "Stype" was fitted to a TWN (Triumph Werke Nurenberg) 250 two stroke! Pick from 1958, I came home from the maternity ward rolled up in a blanket in that rig!

Yes your Dad's old chair is the type of thing I am looking for , the Jaws 350 also had a chair that would work well
