Air pump
« on: May 28, 2020, 11:28:31 am »
Hi guys

I need to purchase an air pump / compressor I like to take with me on the bike!
Need to be small but still pack a punch and get a tire back on the bead! Weight does not matter as light means "lig in die broek" as well!
Price almost irrelevant if the thing does the job!

Any suggestions, what are you guys travelling with!

Have co2 bombs and all but those are getting expensive and only do so much!
I am doing it today, maybe there is no tomorrow

How would one of the cylinders work that they use on the modern pellet guns?  High pressure, good for about 200+ shots on a hi-power air rifle.

Should pump a few tyres on a charge?

That sounds like a very good idea! Just need to sort a fitting with valve! Will have to check thread size on cylinder!

What about modifying a paintball cylinder to inflate tyres? You even get ones that work on air not CO2, larger capacity and higher pressure so should mount a tyre rather quickly.

Ek het vir my n 2m air hose laat opmaak by die omie wat my air hoses diens by garage.

That works!!! However.... just test it EVERY time before going on a trip. Do not assume it is still full. :lol8:

And keep in mind that any valve malfunction will leave you unable to pump tyres at all.
