I had to park my bike outside on Saturday night , covered with a bike cover , On Sunday morning when I turned on the ignition , the dash had a ice warning flashing . Cranking the bike it did not want to start . battery power low . Used the car to jump it , fired up quickly .
On a previos trip We pitstopped at Pyramid Motel on Van Reenens pass , also a cold night , on this occasion I removed the battery and stuck it on a charger overnight , no problem to start .
My question is this , Do these big twins battle to start when its very cold out? have not tried a early morning start when its parked in the garage overnight . Must try it .
