Wanted 6v regulater

Looking for a 6v regulator any ideas
twin shox, twin drum air cooled

Rex's speed shop in the UK. Be prepared for a long wait. It takes a week to Joburg and 3 months from there to wherever.
If you can start it you can ride it

No luck at startline they only stock a 6v rectifier, I will try the breakers next, it is for a 75 XL 350

The unit generally does 2 focutions - to rectify the AC to DC then to regulate it down to the correct voltages.

so  thought this has both sorts ac power  then a seperate regulator
twin shox, twin drum air cooled

The XT500's all had seperate regulators and rectifiers. The rectifier was a simple little square diode-block, still available from Startline, etc for around R100.

The XT500's all had seperate regulators and rectifiers. The rectifier was a simple little square diode-block, still available from Startline, etc for around R100.

But you need both so you can combine it you have to unless you want to do a factory restore, but then you won't be buying from startline anyway.

If you really want to keep the bike for years and ride it regularly then just upgrade it to 12v and be done with it

Like @Greco Greco did, many years ago....

Search his built, think it was an XR500, he converted to 12v
