I have just completed a wheel “transplant”.
Went from 17” - 19” standard mags to 18” - 21” spoke wheels.
All the hardware from the smaller wheels bolted on to the larger wheels with no issues and the wheels bolted on as normal.
The only mod that I had to do was to manufacture “riser” brackets in order to fit the stock mudguard over the 21” wheel. I raised the mudguard by 20mm only.
Took the bike for a ride to check. The speedo has moved to true speed instead of the optimistic offset.
Only 2 things; when on the center stand, both wheels touch the ground and the bike leans a bit more when using the side stand.
Personally I don’t see this as an issue.
With the bigger wheels there might be a chance of bottoming out underneath the rear fender as the stroke on the suspension is shorter than the R.
