I think cams are around $500ish

(nice new pic etienne!) i think the cams are going on the 'i want a yoshimura full system' wish list- the one where i'm just not going to spend $$$ on such mods, well not until i'm earning $$$ as well. hectic.  :'(
Adam before you go mad with the modding go have a chat to Julian (wrench) as he has dyno'd and has results from loads of DRZ with different mods, Just from those you should get a good idea where to look for best bang for buck. hotcams you want the intake cam btw
So much of win it hurts! ^.^

Been there done that, the mods makes a huge difference to the DRZ. Alternatively just buy a stock standard KTM 525  >:D

The thought has crossed my mind, but I don't think it's the right decision for me right now...

Sidetrack, I have to say - I'm even more in LOVE!  My (Your) Baby ran like a little demon this last weekend.  She did not even blink at anything, ran like a dream, gave the guys stick, floated on the sand, jolled in the mud, hell, she even enjoyed sitting outside the shebeen!

I LOVE her!  :)

naaa i'm just teasing, i'm sure the 690 is a killer bike. which reminds me, i should really speak to KTM about trying one of their demo's, since I have still to date never ridden one...

all good :D

think about it this way in that first pic you still have like 20% of the tire to lean on still :D

but in the second pic it looks like i am using the edge of the tire surface better, right? i asked the one instructor how to do turn one faster, he didn't really want to tell me :( (i try not to hijack this thread and only talk zook stuff, but its hard!)

naw you still have loads of leaning to go there, first thing is that your foor is in the way and second is that you need to get you ass out off of the seat over the outside peg (weight that peg big time too) dont try and lean more, as you get faster it happens by itself

i know i can still go much further over... it also felt like i was getting very far forward and over the handlebars, but in the pics it turns out i am not really moving much at all!!! i'll need to borrow the sm to practice some more  >:D
