Also braided front brake hose. Real noticeable braking performance increase.

If you're riding on the dirt - is that a good thing? Obviously for an SM a braided hose is great! but not sure if I'd want that much more braking when in the gravel?!?

Ok guys, odd question...... to all those wheelie kings out there  :ricky:

Given the short gearing of the DRZ compared to say a 650, which is the best gear to wheelie in ? 2nd or 3rd.

I find second comes up quickly, but it turns into a power wheelie and runs out of revs quickly.

It is not as much better braking but more consistent braking. Braided hoses cause the brake lines to expand less, especially when heated up so you have consistent, predictable brakes all the time.

As far as I can see on the Suzuki website, they are not sold new anymore..

It will be the (second) most awesome DRZ in the province. But it's a wicked-cool build :)

You could still get them new earlier from Suzuki South in CT earlier this year. lower mileage is a good idea on these small, highly-stressed engines.

N[]va's bike will be a mean machine once it's built.

Hehehe... 2nd is good to get it up, but then you must be quick to hook 3rd and then start playing. If you are still learning, stick to 3rd and get used to the feeling of the bike on its back wheel. Once you get the hang of it, you can hoik it up in any gear up to 4th (ok, mine was slightly modified...)
