Pease help...rim repaint

Hi all

Where can i take my original spoked adv rims to be repainted in the Gauteng area?

They are not painted.  They are anodized.   Anyone that specializes in anodizing will be able to do it for you.  They will need to be stripped down though.  Paint and powder coating will just chip off.

That sounds expensive... :-\

Stripping and relacing the wheel will be the most expensive part.  Anodizing is cheap.

Astro Anodizing. Edenvale.

Not stripping but Re-lacing is the expensive bit as said (R1K a wheel) so long as whatís there currently comes apart easily. The spokes and nipples fuse together after a while and are a cnut to separate. Spray penetrating spray in each nipple each day a week before you try strip, it will save you money. Thereís a place round the corner from Astro that will plate the spokes for cheap and depending on what the hubs are made from get them done at the same time.

 :thumleft:  Spokes are stainless, so will most likely just need a polish.
