Thanks everyone for a great trip.  I've learnt a lot of stuff I'm not sure I want to know, but it was all lekker.  Thanks XT660, Ektoknbike and all the helpers.
Went back with Stev0 and the Kirsten via Franschhoek.  There were hundreds of superbikes and poserbikes mostly ridden by superannuated posers.  They just don't get it, do they?

A few pics:
XT660 showing the correct technique, always.

The lekker old pass down to Botriver

The little-known other side of Bus.

The patient breakfast queue at Botriver.  (the hen couldn't lay any faster)

Die oompie kom uit Engeland uit, genuine!

StevO keeping his front wheel dry.

Had a great time and will be attending next year as well. And thanks PP for helping out with the refueling in front of the Caltex refinery at the start of the trip.   The day then rolled on with Botrivier hotel being the start and I ended up peaking too early. ..........However, I revived at about 3 am and ended up having some of Jans forgotten potjie (best potjie I have had), with Generaal providing refreshments, and Chopperpaailet the music till the sun started coming up in the east. Zen times by the river.

Julle owens is mal.  ;)

Thanks for organising a lekker joll and venue......and for putting up with us.

Had a good laugh thinking how quickly one gets to know people and how events/trends seem to repeat themselves:

Bus...........will flash his bas
Bradleys........will get topless
Plore......... red winged
Frohan........ tormented by his mates
Newguy........sustains some occupational injury
Fidel..........will cock up a burnout

....but the main, and most important common denominator is, that everyone always enjoys and repects one anothers company.  :)

Thanks guys.

02/02/12 - RIP Glen - the Arrow of Elliot and the little man with the big heart that truly was larger than life.

You have touched us and left us better for having known you - even if it was only briefly.

For grabbing the moment and living the day It's been way too early that you were taken away
