Incredible engineering .....

Interesting how he uses carbs to feed cylinders in the two banks of cylinders ...... i.e. common carb feeding 2 cylinders in opposing banks ...

His idea manages to get the outside pistons to "pull up" the crank, much like a cyclist with strapped or cleated pedals can also apply power on an upward crank stroke.

The carbs work like in cars like a v-6 Ford, where a single carb would feed both banks.

It will make that Ducati much more reliable
I consider myself a pessimist. I am therefore always right...eventually.

Dunno about that Ducati but there are single cylinder pit bikes that will drill that little bike around the parking lot.

But the concept, to me, is worth investigating. Especially with those forward facing pots keeping the rest of the motor quite slim. May be good for an adventure bike..... :thumleft:

Mmmmm...sounds great, but maybe it is not optimized yet  8)

I think we need a different section for radical engine designs

For instance, who remembers the Wulf stepped-piston design?

I, for one, think it is brilliant!
