**SORTED**Dango Design gripper mount
« on: September 25, 2020, 05:18:30 am »
Anyone have one of these? Sick of having a gopro on top of my helmet and getting it caught on branches and wind. This seems to be the best and most practical option to mount on helmet in chin position.

Canít seem to source them locally, just the usual shady import sites list them on a google search

You can build a chin mount for you gopro from the gopro extras and a few small bolts from builders.

This is basically how I have mine on. You don't see it, you don't feel it and it takes awesome footage.

I have all those mounts, but what makes the gripper great is that you can move it anywhere on the bike where it can grip. Much more versatile

No leave him, a key-board tourer like me loves his photos.

I would be worried about vibration and possible "migration' off it's spring-loaded grip.

I have one hobby. I spend money on it. Wondering why you would feel the need to make such a remark?

Apparently the grip is very secure on the helmet, which would be where it will be mounted most of the time.

Cansius, when I was still doing trackdays the best position for the Go-Pro was on the chin piece of the helmet, but then we had to make a plan with lots of duct tape, this device seems much more elegant!

Chin is exactly what I want for best POW and least interference with branches, wind etc

The Dango works well and easily fits on handlebars etc
