Hey, Gerrard, how can John not have offended customers, he was selling BMW's....... :eek7:

Oom Dan is amper daar.

I will miss him shouting at the top of his voice " howzit p#@s" with a shop full of customers
What a legend. A big loss for Donfords. Nicest salesman I've ever met.

My neighbor sold BMW for ages. Thought he would not do anything else, but then he sold Ford, and now drives a Mitsubishi. It is like working for KMPG and then going to Deloite's, or working for Clicks and then joining Pepkor.
For us as users it is all about the brand (well for some of us), but for a good salesman it is about selling a good product. All manufacturers sell good bikes, it's just about what suits the client best at the time.
BoosterPlug, LED Spots, Tool Tubes, RustStop, Kappa Screens, Top boxes, Tank Bags, ATG Gear - whatever works for me.

It's actually about what the manufacturer tells the client to buy through advertising. In many cases, at least.

I personally need to believe in a product to be able to sell it , admittedly I am partial to certain brands , but that was gained through experience not advertising . Having said that if a salesman ( of any product ) starts off by badmouthing the opposition I will walk right out .
But John being the gentleman that he is sold the product on its virtues not the faults of others .
