Opgewonde soos n weeskind op ouerdag  :P

Dieselfde hier, maar baie onwaarskynlik dat dit n verandering in my eie lewe sal maak dog lekker om iets nuuts te sien uit die groen stal  :lol8:

Do you think they've forgotten? I know I'm a bit ahead of you but this is the evening of the 25th.
The dog that caught the car. What now?

In the 90's SA got a whole bunch of Honda grey import CBR250's, which would also rev to around 16000rpm.

Why not mate? I think that is exactly what is coming and it is making a lot of sense.
They already have the road legal 300KLX in the States, and the Versys is the only one in the class (Ninja and Z) stuck with the 300. So the 400 is only making a lot of sense and will get the sales moving once again.
Doubt it will do much better in SA that the 300 though and not even sure KMSA will bring it to SA unless they feel it has enough (maybe more upgrades) to compete with the KTM 390 adv.
My money is on the Versys 400.
It's only shortfall is a minimalist suspension.

Ek wens Kawasaki wil weer iets ordentlik launch.. en Suzuki en Honda ook.. Yamaha het darem iets in die race met die T7. Africa Twin is darem ook n lekker fiets.

Was a lekker bike, but it only started to perform from 9000rpm..

There was a bike shop and I can't recall the name, think Mitaka or something
They have offered laps of test riding every Saturday morning on them grey imports and I recall we were allowed 5 laps per bike. Pok I took advantage and revved the tits of the 250 4's and even a NSR250!! Now that was the shit!!

Those little 250 4ís sounded like the F1 cars of the day. Fantastic little bikes. Just imagine the16 little valves moving at 18000rpm ! The parallel twins you get today have zero character

Because to me the 300 Versys is a roadbike, yes guys have taken them off road but if we are honest itís no KLR replacement. The 400 will be more of the same. Too many of those bikes on the market already - Vstrom, CB500X etc. Not exciting at all

I hope it is not a KLR 700, because then we will have another thread, running into hundreds of pages of "790 vs T7 vs KLR"  :peepwall:
