Message to all who criticise and insult BigOil for his thread on the 790:

This is 2020, and for any mainstream manufacturer to expect [as Altie explained] an owner to fix his own clutch, be forced to fit a steering damper to save his life, or to cut short/cancel trips because the almost new shock absorber is just stupidly arrogant.

What is even more arrogant is you guys on here willing to insult BigOil for posting this.

Ask yourself; is BigOil lying, is he making up stories?

No, a manufacturer is outsourcing to a known inferior manufacturer of parts, to maximise profit, and to KTM owners' disgrace they are attacking the messenger.

P.S. Yes, it is true that Noneking is doing nice trips, it is also true that he has already suffered a shock absorber and clutch failure, one of which he had to repair himself.

FFS, we might as well all drive old LandRovers, where a hands-on approach is needed to be able to do your nice trips.

Stop crucifying BigOil, he is speaking the truth, albeit in his very direct way.

This is the safe space generation, cotton balled and not used to direct talk that may infringe on their sanity.

That works both ways.  He's entitled to his opinion of the bike. We're entitled to think he's a bit of a nancy.

Seems to have a lot of ammo though, anecdotal at this point but he is well armed on the looks of it.

See my point about the internet skewing negative news like this.  When the 1190 came out you'd think every single one was a ticking time bomb.  Turns out ot ws only the very vocal few online with problems.  The rest were out enjoying their 150hp dirtbikes.

I understand and accept that. The internet is haven for anything you wish to find.

Like the rolling fortunner debacle. or the Kuga self combusting issue, Was all anecdotal and toyota / Ford fobbed it all off....oh wait

No Big Turd here is insulting everything in his way  even the South Africans and Africans. Maybe this is his way to deal with personal problems or looking for attention. You're right this is 2020!

His truth is hard-hitting, indeed.

It can be seen by the type of retorts. :ricky:
