Need parts for my VFR
« on: November 12, 2020, 06:04:59 pm »
As some know I bought a '97 VFR750L cheap off a mate who had to return to Oz.
Bike now running but missing and fork seals shot.
Who can supply me 4 x CR8EH 9 sparkplugs and a set of fork seals and wipers sent to Centurion asap?
JH2RC36A

Cheers

Steve

Steve, I will check if I can assist.

I am in the Pretoria area.

<Edit> These fork seals are normally standard sizes and are readily available.

Hi BuRP, not to sound facetious, but judging by the website they do off-road stuff. VFR is very much not an off-road tool, but have sent an email anyway. My predicament is I am in Tanzania so need to get the parts to someone to carry them here for me.

Steve, I actually found the seals at Off Road Road Cycles! As I said before, these are very generic and used over literally hundreds of makes and models.

I am just waiting for a price on the spark plugs.

Hi Steve,
sorry, I only saw this now... I am not on the forum all day... ;)
I have the dust seal and fork seal kits in stock, but not the plugs. I can only get those next week.

Great SF!!

The seals that I could get did not include the dust seals.

I think it is better that SF supply all the parts then.

The dust seals come as a separate set and are not as easy to find as the oil seals. I also had to search for a while...

Give your local Midas a visit. I just called them and they stock the plugs.

Mike, I think Steve sits in Tanzania, so he needs someone to put the whole order together and send to him.

Gee guys, thx for all the response's. I am in TZ and need parts sent to an address in Centurion.
So, who is the one to help?
Would only be fair to ask bullfrog, who responded first.
Send me a price of all goodies delivered to Centurion and we can move forward.
Wish all my shopping was this easy.
