On any Sunday - the film
« on: November 18, 2020, 11:49:19 am »
I know this was a thread in 2007, (but no link to the film was put up then), and for those of you who did not see the film in the early 1970s (it came out in 1971), here is the full film from youtube.(put up six months ago).

It was a classic then and still is today, in my opinion. Enjoy it - it motivated many of us to ride and maintain our bikes, even if they were often only 50cc ones at that time!

My mother's husband gave me this film a year ago to watch. Still haven't watched it.

Need to make a plan

Saw it as a youngster and many times after. Left a lasting memory. Might well be where my love for biking started

So I could not help myself and just watched it again. The highlight for me is always Malcolm Smith and his three medals in the Six Day Trials. One hell of a feat.

I am pleased you are all enjoying it once again - it was often the motivation for many of us to continue riding and maintaining our bikes (even if they were often "only" 50cc ones then!

Yes, it was awesome at the time, I also remember how disappointing version 2 was.   :thumleft:

There is also a "On Any Sunday II" and another movie called "Why We Ride", have also seen something called "On Any Sunday - the next chapter" but haven't watched it as yet.
