You're looking at roughly R7k per square metre, it can go a lot higher if you get fancy.
It's the end of the road as we know it and I feel fine.

I can work with R7k. I am not into TOO fancy. 2 Bedrooms + Study/3rd Bedroom, 1 bath room (must have a shower), Garage, Open plan living area/Kitchen. Prefab walls high enough to allow privacy and I am done.

Derailing the subject a bit, I wanted to build a cladded container home there but the town planners don't allow it, could do 108sqm with all the creature comforts for just under R500k including the property, now looking at Paradise Beach near JBay but funds are tight.
It's the end of the road as we know it and I feel fine.

Remote working is probably well suited to WC coastal towns - their weather is conducive to spending most of your time indoors

Napier is a stunning little dorp off the beaten track... alas we are limited at the moment to Wifi Internet through three main providers - Jebo Connect/TWK/Sonic - I have a 6mb connecting with 120Gb per month at R499 .... although Fibre runs right through Napier to Bredasdorp - we've been told that we won't see Fibre service in our lifetime  :patch: .......  bastids.... Satellite is an option and can provide 10mb

Also look at Darling.

Lekker place and within commuting distance to CT

I stay in Kathu, not a small dorpie anymore.

but drove through Stilbaai last month and seeing it here rated as a small town had me confused.....its big now!

Dwerg I second what Blikkies says, you will have to go on a holiday and choose a town. Most will have good enough internet
I like George, but no work that side of the country for my profession
As someone whos lived in PTA my entire life, Kathu is tiny

Dis meestal by die posh plekke

We lived in a small town called Hoopstad during the late 80's and early 90's. It is right on the edge of Bloemhof dam. It was great as kid. I would like to take a drive past there again, I haven't been there in 20 years.

Ons het fibre; 20/20mbp up/download uncapped kos my so R850 pm. Daar's wingerde binne loop afstand van my huis. Heuwelagtig, enige kant toe wat jy stap is daar berg of see uitsig. Daar is paar klein dorpies hier naby waar daar nou ontwikkelings is, soos Raithby.

Napier is 'n juweel.

Rossdog bly in daardie omgewing.
