I've got a lead on a project bike.
The seller wants R10 000 for it.
So the questions start.
1. Is it worth the money?
It needs a few things but I will probably do a complete rebuild. The kit costs another R8 000 and includes a new piston.
So far the seller said it needs a piston and a big end bearing. Obviously it would need gaskets as well.
Any idea where I might get the best prices on the spares?
2. Does someone have a workshop manual for these?
I'm handy enough. Put together a KX85 from boxes of spares so I'm thinking the only difference is the cc. Am I wrong?
3. Is it worth the effort to put one of these together to sell?
Im actually looking for a small bike for SWAMBO, so the 300 will probably be too big and have too much power. But if I can put it together and sell for some profit maybe I can then buy something more accommodating to her height and capability.
